Daley Plaza around Halloween was so much fun! My mom and step-dad came to visit for the week-end and we braved the cold and had a great time at the Plaza!
We enjoyed the circus that performed. The kids oohed and aaahed over all their tricks! The adults did too:)
Olivia made me be in this photo with her because she was afraid of the man on stilts!
My kids had a blast sliding down this architecture. Below is a full scale picture of it. It was done by Picasso I think but he didn't name it, so they're not sure what it's supposed to be. What do you think?
Olivia amazed that she can see herself in the Bean.
This is a famous site that is actually called Cloud Gate but people called it the bean because that's what it looks like, and the name stuck.
The outdoor amphitheater is amazing! I hope we get to see a concert there someday!
We went into a store to let the kids get their faces painted and tried on a couple wigs!
The kids got their faces painted. Olivia stood so still for the girl who was painting!
We had our trunk or treat and my Mom and step-dad came. A fun time was had by all, except that I forgot our candy! The trunk or treat was starting right as we got there so I didn't have time to get some candy. We had to move the van to the corner of the parking lot and I totally felt bad!
Kirk really wanted to dress up as a family so we finally decided on being zapped bugs. We went to Savers and bought some clothes we could cut apart to make it look like we'd been "zapped," then Kirk found a lantern that was our "zapper" and spent quite a while making our wings out of stuff from around the house. It was fun but I wish the kids had worn it again on Halloween since we worked so hard to make the costumes. My favorite thing about this picture is Olivia. Don't mess!
We went to the Shedd Aquarium and got in free because we were residents. It was really amazing and we spent quite a bit of time there.
Now that is a big fish!
The She'd Aquarium is on the shoreline and has a beautiful view of downtown Chicago!
My mom and step-dad went to Israel from our house and stopped on their way back. The kids had fun playing with all the scarves they brought back. Olivia thought it was hilarious that she tied herself to grandma! Neither seemed to mind!
